Each year the Yugambeh
peoples of the Gold Coast area choose a day as their Annual
Ceremony to commemorate all the indigenous men and women who
served in defence of Australia over the years with focus on
our shared heritage. The commemorative service is held at the
Yugambeh War Memorial next to the Burleigh Heads RSL Sub-Branch
hall. The service is conducted by the Kombumerri Aboriginal
Corporation with assistance from the Burleigh RSL Sub-Branch.
