Please be advised of a possible scam involving the use of RSL Care name for credibility. Below is the content of an e-mail distributed by RSL Care advising of this SCAM.

Subject: Possible scam.

Hi Chris

RSL Care has received information about a possible ongoing scam that is currently been identified in the Caboolture / Brisbane North Region. People have been contacted by an individual posing as RSL Home Care on three instances to date. In all situations the caller identified themselves as representing RSL Care claiming to be selling raffle tickets for properties located on the Sunshine Coast, more specifically Nambour.

Warning bells rang for our clients as they were aware that RSL Care had never engaged them in such activity and they declined to hand over their credit card and bank details.

RSL Care has put an alert out to all management staff to be vigilant to potential fraudulent activity in the area and report any suspicious activity to management. The police have been informed and are looking into the matter.

It is always a concern to me when the scammers use RSL (anything) and I expect it’s a regular concern for the Art Union management.
