The Central Army Records Office (CARO) will be unattended from Thursday 24 DEC 2009, re-opening for business on Monday 4 JAN 2010. CARO will be unable to attend to any requests for eulogies submitted on or after 24 DEC 2009, until after 4 JAN 2010. CARO will also have limited staff available for the week leading up to 24 DEC 2009.

If information relating to soldiers who served during World War Two is required over the CARO stand-down period, a limited amount of information may be found on the World War Two Nominal Roll, on the Department of Veterans' Affairs internet website: www.ww2roll.gov.au/ A limited amount of service records have been imaged and may be available to view on the National Archives of Australia (NAA) website. To view these records, it will be necessary to utilise the NAA "Record Search" search engine. The NAA website is located at www.naa.gov.au
