The passing of our ex-Member ex18257 Lt Col (RL) Allan James Campbell RAA (dob 13 March 1946) occurred on Friday June 19, 2009 in Townsville with his family around him. The Australian Army will be conducting his funeral in Townsville on Friday 26, 2009. Full details are not available as yet.

Allan relocated to Townsville a few years ago to be closer to his family anmd transferred to Townsville RSL at that time. Prior to his transfer, Allan was a very active member of our sub-branch and donated the meeting bell that we use to this day for every meeting.

It is asked of every member that they observe a minutes silence on Friday to remember a fallen comrade and a valued ex-member. There is no doubt that Allan will be remembered each time that we ring that meeting bell in the years to come.
