Subject: First World War photographs
Dear
Sir/Madam
You
may well already have seen these, but some photographs
of British army soldiers (so for that,
read Australian and New Zealand too), taken on the
eve of the Somme, have recently turned up in France.
Having lived in Australia, and indeed lost one of
my own relatives at Gallipoli, I know how precious
these memories might be for some. Hope they are of
interest/use!
