Prostate Cancer Study

August 2008

Prostate Cancer affects millions of Australian men and their families each year, and further research is both important and urgently required. NeuMedix Biotechnology is making a start in the right direction with Professor Max Reynolds.

A recent article written by Professor Reynolds in the Queensland Chapter of the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia monthly newsletter called for patient volunteers to participate in the first stage of clinical trial of the application of M.A.C. (Melaleuca Alternifolia Concentrate) in its fight against cancer.

Unfortunately, many Prostate Cancer patients are not candidates for surgery due to reasons such as age and medical conditions, and the current treatments available to lower the PSA levels have a number of unpleasant side effects. If M.A.C. can replace or aid these current treatments, it would help make patients more comfortable as they fight this disease.

The study will take up to three months to complete with over 30 Queensland patients assisting with the research.

The professor will be presenting the latest research data.
