Burleigh Heads RSL Sub-Branch introduces new web-site feature

Members of the Burleigh Heads RSL Sub-Branch will soon see a new feature appearing on their web-site home page. This feature will take the shape of a Flaming Torch similar to the one shown in this article. The Flaming Torch will appear in the centre of the home-page and will signify to all the passing of one of the sub-branches esteemed members. By clicking on the Flaming Torch, you will be directed to the "Lest We Forget" section of the web-site where full detailed information of the deceased member and their service will be available. The Flaming Torch will burn on the home-page until midnight on the day of the deceased members funeral as a mark of respect and a symbol to all of their passing.

It is hoped that by providing this somewhat silent and subtle notification, members will more easily be advised of such unfortunate news. It is hoped too that this will enable more members to attend the funerals of their fellow members, thus enabling us as a sub-branch to bid farewell in a more appropriate manner.
