What: Black Hawk helicopters supporting an ADF training activity.

When: Monday 14 August – Saturday 19 August 2006.

Where: The training will be conducted over the Holsworthy, Nowra and Sydney CBD areas during the day and night.

Members of the public will notice Black Hawk helicopters involved in a training activity in the Sydney metropolitan area and Nowra in the coming week. The helicopters will be operating at random intervals throughout the period and may fly into the late evening as part of the exercise scenario. All flying has been coordinated with appropriate civil aviation authorities. Key Sydney CBD timings, pending weather restrictions, are the afternoon of Monday 14 August and afternoon and evening of Wednesday 16 August 2006.

The training is essential to ensure helicopter pilots, crews and other ADF members remain ready to respond to security-related incidents within Australia.
