Our
above esteemed member departed this life on 7th October, 2010,
aged 87.
Frank
Kenneth White passed away in a Sydney Nursing Home on the
7th October 2010. We have been advised today that Frank developed
brain cancer earlier this year which ended his life on the
7 October 2010. Frank had moved to Sydney earlier last year
to be closer to his family as he had been looking after his
lovely wife Zillah who had developed dementia years earlier
and needed much more assistance than he could offer. Frank
was a devoted husband and could never put Zillah into care,
we are unaware whether Zillah is still alive.
Frank
White Joined Burleigh Heads RSL in 1992 and had been a member
of the RSL since 1946. Frank was a active member until the
last few years when his family commitments became more demanding
on his time. Frank White also served a Legatee with Legacy
for many years and maintained the spirit of looking after
Veterans families. Frank performed his obligation with great
diligence and was very missed when he had to retire. Frank
was a quiet unassuming gentleman and always thought of others
before himself.
Frank
will be missed by his family and friends, a true gentle man
to the end.

January 31, 2011:
We have been advised by Frank's daughter Susan that Frank's
wife, Zillah, passed away last week. Frank and Zillah are
together again.
