Our above esteemed member departed this life on 2nd February 2010, aged 80.

Des McDermott had been an active member of the Burleigh Heads RSL Sub-Branch since joining in 2006. Of late, due to failing health issues and the loss of one leg, his attendance became less frequent, as much of his time was taken up with rehab. Des will be missed by his friends!

Our deepest sympathy goes to Des's family.

Des is being taken back to Victoria by his family for a funeral service and burial, details unknown at present.
