Eric served in World War II with the RAAF. He joined the RSL in 1960 and transferred to Burleigh Heads RSL Sub-Branch on 3 March, 1965. Eric had remained a member ever since. Eric worked for a bank. He filled many Committee positions and was very active in the Sub-Branch. He left the Burleigh Heads area in 1974 when transferred with his job to Brisbane. Eric became a life subscriber in 1995.
