DENNIS ROSS DAY

Dennis was a Life Subscriber of Burleigh Heads RSL Sub-Branch since 22 April 2003 after he transferred from Surfers Paradise RSL.

Dennis enlisted in the ARMY on 10 September 1980 and served with the 1st Battalion RAR until 18 January 1995 during which time he saw active service in Malaysia in 1985 and Somalia in 1993. He then was posted to the School of Infantry at Singleton from 19 January 1995 to 21 January 1997 and then served with 8 Signal Regiment from 24 February 1997 to 17 January 1999. His final posting was to the 1st Armoured Regiment at Palmerston, Darwin from 18 January 1999 to 25 January 2001 before being discharged on 9 February 2001.

Dennis was awarded the Australian Active Service Medal with Clasp Somalia, Defence Force Service Medal, Infantry Combat Badge and Returned From Active Service Badge.
