Our above esteemed member departed this life on 15th December 2008, aged 84.

Des, transferred to Burleigh Heads RSL in 2004 from Currumbin RSL, and was an inactive member due to very poor health and poor health of his wife Marion which restricted his movements out of the house. Des had been a member of the RSL since 1971. Only recently Des and his wife Marion moved into nursing home for high care were Des passed away on the 15th December 2008. Our deepest sympathy goes to Desmond's wife Marion and his family.
