Jim died after fighting a long battle with illness. Jim transferred from Coolangatta/Tweed Heads RSL to Burleigh Heads RSL Sub-Branch on 1st March 2001, even though he had been attending the Burleigh Heads ANZAC Day services for a numnber of years prior. Jim's health had not been the best for a number of years but with the wonderful care from his wife Phil, Jim survived a great deal many more years! Our deepest sympathy goes out to Phil.
